The Springfield Banquet Hall hosted a 60th birthday party for my sister-in-law. Everything was perfect. John and Lisa dealt with my numerous questions, requests, etc. with grace and patience. The night of everything went smoothly, the food was delicious, a server short but still presented timely with tables cleared efficiently and the bartender was friendly, made good recommendations and managed flirty guests just right. I will choose them again if the occasion presents itself and highly recommend them to host any event. We had my dad’s funeral luncheon at Springfield Banquet Hall yesterday. John and his staff were amazing! He was easy to work with and so accommodating. The food was delicious! The hall is beautifully remodeled and so inviting. We could not recommend this venue enough! The food was outstanding, fresh, and delicious, and the servers/bartenders were exceedingly effective and flexible. A VIP experience at an extremely affordable price. Love the Owners! We can’t say enough good things about this venue! It was the most perfect, best venue for our wedding reception! To start, John and Lisa are the most accommodating business owners and are wonderful down to earth people who genuinely care about making your event perfect and exactly how you dreamed it would be. Throughout our planning process they were super flexible and accommodating to let us come and check out the venue. They were great at communicating with us about everything even up until the day before just to make sure our day was perfect! Whatever we wanted, John made sure it happened. Lisa did an amazing job with the food which was so delicious and our guests loved. On top of that we had a buffet and got to take the leftovers! Lisa cut our cake and packed everything up for us to take with us at no extra cost. We loved having a venue that had the catering right there on site. They let us come the day before to set up all of our decorations so the day of there was less stress. Extremely affordable beautiful, all inclusive, venue run by awesome people!!! Go to the Springfield for your event, you will not be disappointed! We had the most perfect beautiful day! Attended a wedding here. Honestly a hidden gem for banquets. Awesome food, staff and atmosphere Just had our wedding there last weekend and I highly recommend using them for any of your events the food is wonderful the staff is wonderful and they handle everything so well I had my daughter's graduation brunch here. Everything was beyond my expectations. The beautiful way they decorated the hall, the food which all the guests complimented many times over to the professionalism of the owners and employees makes this the creme da la creme of banquet halls. Thanks for everything you did. I went to wedding on June 26, 2021 and it was phenomenal. The staff was super nice and sweet. The food OMG the food was amazing! It was also super clean. If your looking for a venue this is the place to go. They also did amazing for those guest who were gluten free. I wish I could give more than 5 stars because they deserve it. This is a long overdue review of The Springfield. They catered a family member's funeral luncheon back in January, in the driving rain, and every detail was meticulously and precisely cared for. Their menu is expansive, presentation was spectacular and food was scrumptious. Lisa and John were easy to work with, listened to my suggestions and offered considerate advice at a stressful time. The meal itself was not a typical church basement luncheon but included thoughtful offerings such as spring mix salad w/ cranberries, candied walnuts, feta, and fig balsamic dressing, bruschetta chicken, Grear Never been there so.i just dont know how to rate it but I will give it a 5 star rating sorry for all the confusion,it came up in was there but I never was What a great job they did for my company gatherings! The box lunches were delicious and the dinner was outstanding! Both Lisa and John went above and beyond at every point! I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone! We had our parent’s 50 wedding anniversary party there (their reception was at this place 50 years ago). Lisa and her husband were so nice and accommodating! The place is beautiful and the food is delicious! Plus they pack up the leftovers for you which most places don’t. The price is reasonable. I’m extremely picky when it comes to event and it hit all the marks. The parking is off site but the shuttle was there anytime. They’re also getting parking close. Definitely 2 thumbs up! We rolled the dice and took a gamble on this relatively new and upcoming venue for Megan and David's Wedding. WE CAME OUT THE WINNERS! Lisa and John were great to work with and very accommodating from beginning to end. The hall looked exquisite and the food was excellent. We received numerous compliments from our guests and we were extremely satisfied. The Springfield greatly contributed to making Megan and David's day extremely special in every way. Our thanks to Lisa and John , and we encourage anyone looking for a way to support this much needed business. It is certain to provide a real payoff. family run and food is delicious. It isn't often that we do this unless we really feel that a venue goes way over the top! These guys did it and continually do it every time we are here! This is the best hidden gem of a venue in all of Northumberland county! The owners are beyond spectacular and the staff is truly top notch! We have been to all of the major cities in and outside PA, MD, DE, and NY and none of the 5 star rated venues even come close to the hospitality you receive from the moment you open the door to walk into The Springfield. The food is exquisite and very much comparable to that of a top notch celebrity chef restaurant. The owners John and Lisa make you feel like family and ultimately care about your experience in their beautiful facility. Heck, The Springfield even has a shuttle bus to get you to your vehicle safely! Who else even does that? In closing, this venue is definitely one that you want to consider for your next event! Banquet hall is beautiful! If you are looking for a venue I highly recommend it. The owners are amazing and just wonderful to work with. Very clean and totally redone inside. Beautiful and spacious! I had my wedding reception here on 9.15 and it was truly amazing! Lisa and John are both very professional and will above and beyond to make you feel special on your day! Pleasant atmosphere This was our third time at The Springfield, and again a wonderful special evening was had by all, The food was perfect , the atmosphere classy, we danced the night away to wonderful music by Double Talk. Great looking place.. Remodeled very well..... Only problem is close by parking to the place... I chose to have my bridal shower here and I can’t say enough wonderful words about this place! The remodeling is absolutely stunning...when I first walked in to see it I was in love. The food was AMAZING (eating leftovers as I type this �)! Lisa and John were so easy to work with and made sure everything was perfect! I 100% will be having more events here. (our very first paid event) I was nervous about having my mom's funeral luncheon at The Springfield Banquet Hall in early March. The owners — John and Lisa Eccker — were then rookies in the banquet business. And while their renovation of an old garment factory-turned-banquet Hall in Coal Township's Polish Poconos was darn near perfect, I questioned whether two tech geeks had the chops to host and feed 60 or 70 people. But the couple brimmed with confidence and their hall is in the heart of my old neighborhood, so I rolled the dice. I'm so happy I did. The Ecckers delivered. John was a thoughtful host, making sure the dining room was beautiful, helping my wife set up a memorial slide show, and arranging tables for optimal displays of photographs and mementos. Throughout the three-hour luncheon, he kept a sharp eye on proceedings to make sure everyone felt at home. Lisa, meanwhile, starred in the kitchen, preparing the best banquet meal I've ever had. I picked her preset funeral menu ($16.95 a person) — pot roast and Parmesan baked chicken as entrées with penne alla vodka for anyone who wanted a non-meat option. There was salad for a starter, then sides of mashed red-skinned potatoes, Mexican street corn (four stars!) and a broccoli medley. All comfort food. All served family style. But all prepared and delivered with verve. The chicken — boneless breasts and thighs — was succulent and perfectly seasoned to delight a foodie while not being too daring for a crowd. As for the pot roast, perfection — melt-in-your-mouth tender with gravy almost too good to be legal. An extra nice touch: As the crowd took their seats, Lisa served warm baguettes with ramekins of butter and Boursin cheese for spreads. The Ecckers are a class act. Start to finish, they may be the best hosts in the Pennsylvania coal region. And in an area known for old-world hospitality, that's saying a lot. -- Cyril Zaneski Got to visit for a special needs Christmas party where they donated the hall and I believe food. Very nice upgrade from how it looked a few years ago. Amazing staff, great food, and a friendly environment for any occasion. The food was exceptional. The staff friendly and prompt. All your hard work paid off everything was wonderfully. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. What a transformation ! Absolutely pristine facility. Gorgeous set up, and super organized! The bar is beautiful and the food was out of this world! I can't wait to see what this place has in store for the future. The facility is fabulous and the catering is very pleasing to the palate! If we could give this place greater than a 5 star... We would in a heartbeat! Thank you John and Lisa once again for giving your best and then some to every event we have been part of at The Springfield!
