Are We Worth It?

For in-house events, we provide a lot for the prices we quote: all the equipment you need (we only charge extra for a handful of optional decorative items), and the personnel to take care of everything - including set up and clean up. Just looking at the cost to rent all of the equipment we provide as part of our price, you'll see how competitive we are. Some other venues provide everything, some provide basic equipment (tables, chairs, coffee urns, etc), and others rent you the space but you have to bring all the equipment. There are many wonderful venues in the area, and we always refer people to them when we can't provide what they need. This example is simply meant to show the value you get when you book with The Springfield.

This example is for a 100-person banquet dinner - a wedding with a head table of 12 people. For less formal events, we use fewer pieces of flatware (only a knife, dinner fork, spoon, and dessert forks), we have the salad & rolls on the buffet instead of served to the tables (so no salad or bread plates or bread baskets), and we use the linen-feel paper napkins instead of linen ones.

The example includes:
  • 100 People
  • 11 x 6' round tables of 8
  • 3 x 8' rectangular tables for head table of 12
  • Dinnerware items that we provide
Our price for this would be $1300. It includes all the items listed, plus the following items which would add considerable cost to the example:
  • Facility fee for a venue
  • Tables and tablecloths for the buffet, appetizers, beverages, desserts, gifts, etc.
  • Drink glasses for the bar (comparable in price to water glasses)
  • Beverage dispenser (for iced tea)
  • Coffee makers and dispensing equipment
  • Catering equipment – chafers, fuel, serving ware (may be provided by caterer at other venues)
  • Your time setting up, or paying someone else to set up (we set up and clean up as part of the price)
  • No-Cost decorative items on our Hidden Amenities page
