Mary Jo Yocum organized a surprise 50th anniversary party for her parents (who had their original wedding reception here fifty years ago). After the guests of honor arrived, they were changed into wedding attire and recreated their ceremony.
Appetizers included meat & cheese trays with crackers, mozzarella balls, goat cheese with warmed hot pepper jelly, and a bountiful vegetable selection with ranch and spinach artichoke dips. The luncheon buffet (from our Party menu) included a garden salad with ranch and white balsamic shallot vinaigrette dressings, warm rolls with whipped butter and our homemade herb cheese spread, french fries and chicken tenders (homemade: brined overnight, breaded with panko & parmesan, and baked), buttered green beans, penne alla vodka, and rolls with pulled roast beef. For dessert we provided our homemade madeilenes with chockolate sauce, and Mary Jo brought two cakes.
